Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead solution design, technical delivery, and lifecycle support for enterprise MES/SCADA solutions built on the Ignition platform.
  • •Gather user requirements, define system functionality, design solution architecture, and develop Ignition applications/integrations with enterprise and plant systems.
  • •Drive project delivery, release management, and continuous integration/deployment (with DevOps/service teams), including technical oversight for production incidents and root-cause resolution.
  • •Develop, test, and maintain unit-tested code; collaborate with test teams on coverage; create automated test scripts; investigate and fix bugs.
  • •Document solutions (flowcharts, diagrams, code comments/snippets, performance instruments) and recommend tools to management and architecture teams.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • •12+ years of experience, including 6+ years in Ignition manufacturing solution and development with a track record of shipping high-quality products.
  • •Strong hands-on Ignition platform experience (Ignition 8.1+), including Perspective, Vision, Designer, Gateway configuration, Tag architecture, UDTs, Alarming, Historian, Reporting, Transaction Groups, SFC, and Security.
  • •Strong development skills with Python/Jython, SQL, JavaScript, and web fundamentals, including expression bindings and reusable component design.
  • •Experience integrating with enterprise/plant systems (ERP/MES/QMS/WMS/CMMS) and industrial connectivity standards (e.g., OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, Ethernet/IP), with knowledge of OT/IT constraints.
