Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead technical strategy on time-boxed Fungible engagements (typically one to five months) to accelerate critical customer workloads from evaluation to production.
  • •Own the architecture conversation, drive Databricks platform adoption, and advise customer architects and engineering leaders.
  • •Design scalable, production-grade solutions across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics, including whiteboarding, design reviews, and trade-off decisions.
  • •Win technical decisions by demonstrating Databricks differentiation with custom-built solutions in competitive scenarios.
  • •Package progress and transition momentum to core account teams, specialists, or partners so wins continue after each engagement.

Key Requirements

  • •Several years of experience (typically ~6+) in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical role.
  • •Hands-on coding ability in Python and SQL to build, debug, and demonstrate working solutions live.
  • •Depth in distributed data systems and production cloud deployments (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including scalable pipelines, streaming, and lakehouse patterns.
  • •Proficiency on the Databricks Platform or the ability to ramp quickly on new technologies such as real-time/streaming, ML/AI, data governance, or migrations.
  • •Experience leading architecture discussions, design reviews, trade-off analysis, and translating complex architecture into business value.
