Job Summary

Lead Technician, Design Support responsible for 2D/3D drafting, BIM documentation, and design support across Mining & Energy projects. Mentors junior designers, delivers high-quality CAD drawings on time, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure design requirements are met using Revit and other CAD tools.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead design drafting activities, including 2D and 3D CAD/BIM documentation, to meet project requirements and deadlines.
•Coach and mentor junior team members, sharing design best practices and ensuring knowledge transfer.
•Implement quality control processes to ensure design deliverables meet project requirements and are documentation-ready.
•Collaborate with colleagues across the WSP organisation to access digital engineering tools and resources.
•Deliver projects under tight schedules with uncompromised quality and maintain design integrity.

Key Requirements

•Typically 8-11+ years’ experience in engineering/drafting environments.
•High level drafting and detailing skills with strong attention to accuracy.
•High level Revit operator with proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD.
•Excellent knowledge of drafting software (2D/3D CAD) and BIM document delivery.
•Diploma of Engineering or Advanced Diploma of Engineering (Desirable).
