Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical assistance and engineering guidance for protection and control engineering across multi-site and multi-phase substation projects.
  • •Determine and apply methods for collecting, compiling, and analyzing protection and control requirements and equipment specifications.
  • •Develop and review protection and control design deliverables, including diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and panel layouts.
  • •Develop engineering calculations and deliverables for station service loading, CT/VT sizing, protective coordination, relay logic and settings, and substation automation integration requirements.
  • •Support field investigations, testing, maintenance modifications, construction sequencing, and preparation/implementation of site-specific Health and Safety Plans (HASPs).

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • •5 to 7 years of relevant post-education experience as an electrical engineer providing protection and control or electrical design deliverables for large capital projects.
  • •Engineer in Training Certification.
  • •Proficient knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, processes, and protection and control design for substation projects.
  • •Experience with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management, including protection and control design packages and construction/commissioning support.
