Job Summary

Design, build, and maintain a secure, scalable macOS ecosystem for a global workforce. Deploy and manage an enterprise service connecting thousands of endpoints, resolve complex macOS issues, and document technical procedures. Partner with engineers and the Solution Center, automate macOS deployments and updates, enforce security standards with InfoSec, and serve as Tier 3 escalation for macOS support while monitoring fleet health and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

•Administer, configure, and maintain Akamai’s global macOS fleet using Mobile Device Management tools, primarily Workspace One.
•Design and optimize automated deployment workflows and manage updates for macOS and third-party software to improve security and reliability.
•Develop, test, and maintain automation scripts (Bash/Zsh, Python, or Swift) and custom installers to streamline administration and deployments.
•Collaborate with the InfoSec team to enforce macOS security standards while preserving a strong user experience.
•Act as Tier 3 escalation for macOS issues by analyzing root causes, documenting solutions, and monitoring health, performance metrics, and compliance logs.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or a technical degree (or equivalent).
•5 years of experience in enterprise systems engineering with a focus on macOS administration at scale (10,000+ endpoints).
•Expertise in Workspace One or comparable MDM tools and Apple Business functionalities.
•Expertise in Zsh/Bash scripting plus Python knowledge, including installer package creation and maintenance.
•Expert knowledge of macOS architecture, file systems, security frameworks (including TCC and MDM profiles), and enterprise management practices.
