Key Responsibilities

  • •Install, maintain, and repair inside-plant cable infrastructure including conduit, cable trays, copper, coax, fiber, and associated elements.
  • •Perform move, add, and change tasks for copper cabling infrastructure, VOIP networks, and fiber optic cabling infrastructure.
  • •Install, terminate, dress, and test cables and components including CAT6 and fiber optic cabling.
  • •Respond to trouble calls: test, locate, identify, correct or escalate problems, and perform routine maintenance.
  • •Interpret cabling cutsheets/circuit diagrams/electrical schematics and document work through labeling, routing, configuration diagrams, and specifications.
Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

  • •Active Secret security clearance required.
  • •Associate’s degree and at least 3 years of related experience (additional 2 years may substitute for degree).
  • •Familiarity with BICSI rules, regulations, and standards.
  • •Experience using network cabling test equipment including network testers, copper cable testers, fiber OTDRs, and fiber power meters.
  • •Ability to communicate effectively, maintain high attention to detail, and work with power tools and ladders.
