Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop, implement, and maintain corporate governance framework and policies across the organization.
  • •Ensure compliance with UAE insurance laws, healthcare regulations, and AML requirements set by relevant regulators (CBUAE, SCA, DoH, DHA).
  • •Establish compliance monitoring and corrective action plans, and deliver training and awareness on compliance topics and regulatory changes.
  • •Evaluate and report governance effectiveness to senior management and the Board of Directors, keeping governance practices current.
  • •Serve as primary contact for regulator audits, inspections, and inquiries, and oversee governance and compliance for branches/subsidiaries outside the UAE.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 8–10 years of governance and compliance experience within the UAE insurance industry.
  • •In-depth knowledge of UAE insurance and healthcare regulations, governance frameworks, and risk management best practices.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Risk or related field; master’s degree and/or professional certifications in compliance, AML, risk, governance.
  • •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to make strategic decisions under pressure.
  • •Proven experience liaising with UAE regulators including CBUAE, SCA, DoH, and DHA and managing GRC for international branches and subsidiaries.
