Job Summary

Manage day-to-day operations of Interiors Flammability Certification Engineers, supervising and mentoring the team and providing technical leadership focused on flammability certification. Lead capacity planning, run regular 1:1s and performance reviews, and support recruitment, onboarding, and specialized training. Identify skill gaps and create targeted training plans, liaising with customer, design, and manufacturing stakeholders to drive cost savings and improved compliance.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage day-to-day operations for Interiors Flammability Certification Engineers with support from Sr. Lead/Lead Engineers.
•Supervise and mentor the team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, problem solving, and continuous learning.
•Provide technical leadership and direction focused on flammability certification.
•Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, performance reviews, and constructive feedback to improve team technical skills.
•Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and specialized training; identify skill gaps and develop targeted training plans.

Key Requirements

•A university degree in STEM and a minimum of 8 years of relevant Flammability experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of Flammability experience.
•Provide technical leadership and direction for flammability certification work.
•Ability to supervise, mentor, and train engineers, including onboarding specialized Flammability Certification Engineers in aerospace interiors.
•Demonstrated planning skills, including capacity planning for team workload and adherence to quality, schedule, and compliance requirements.
•Experience with interiors product line and flammability certification; materials knowledge for non-metallics is a plus.
