Key Responsibilities

  • •Reinforce didactic content and teach the knowledge and skills needed for pre-licensure nursing
  • •Collaborate with content area faculty to evaluate and document student progress toward clinical objectives
  • •Participate in grading written and clinical performance check-offs
  • •Travel to GCU student sites to directly observe student performance
  • •Maintain compliance with requirements for program accreditation

Key Requirements

  • •BSN is required and must enroll in a GCU MSN Leadership or MSN Education program immediately upon hire (paid for by GCU)
  • •BSN with proof of at least 9 graduate credits/3 classes in any graduate program OR an approved national certification related to the content area being taught (please specify on resume)
  • •5 years of recent RN clinical experience with 3 years of direct Med/Surg nursing experience and a BSN
  • •Active, current, unencumbered, multi-state (compact) RN license
  • •Clinical Faculty Academy (CFA) completion through the Missouri Hospital Association is required at time of application (CFA NOT required if Master’s in any field)
