Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead evaluation, selection, qualification, and approval of electrical and electronic components.
  • •Act as the gatekeeper for new component introduction and approval in ECAD/PLM workflows.
  • •Ensure selected parts meet design specifications, reliability expectations, safety and regulatory requirements, manufacturability needs, supply availability, and cost targets.
  • •Review component requests from electrical, power electronics, and PCB design teams.
  • •Define and maintain approved manufacturers, alternates, and second-source strategies for critical components; promote reuse and manage library standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related technical field.
  • •4+ years of experience in component engineering, electrical hardware engineering, PCB design support, or ECAD/PLM library management.
  • •Strong understanding of electronic components, including passives, semiconductors, connectors, magnetics, power devices, protection devices, sensors, and electromechanical components.
  • •Hands-on experience with ECAD and PLM systems such as Altium, Cadence OrCAD/Allegro, Arena, Agile PLM, Teamcenter, or similar platforms.
  • •Experience managing schematic symbols, PCB footprints, component parameters, datasheets, manufacturer part numbers, approved vendors, and lifecycle data.
