Senior Component Engineer & Library Specialist responsible for leading electrical component selection, approval, and library governance across product lines, ensuring parts meet design, reliability, safety, manufacturability, supply, and cost targets while maintaining a clean ECAD/PLM component library.

Job Function: Product Management

Key Responsibilities

•Lead evaluation, selection, qualification, and approval of electrical and electronic components.
•Act as the gatekeeper for new component introduction and approval in ECAD/PLM workflows.
•Ensure selected parts meet design specifications, reliability expectations, safety and regulatory requirements, manufacturability needs, supply availability, and cost targets.
•Review component requests from electrical, power electronics, and PCB design teams.
•Define and maintain approved manufacturers, alternates, and second-source strategies for critical components; promote reuse and manage library standards.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related technical field.
•4+ years of experience in component engineering, electrical hardware engineering, PCB design support, or ECAD/PLM library management.
•Strong understanding of electronic components, including passives, semiconductors, connectors, magnetics, power devices, protection devices, sensors, and electromechanical components.
•Hands-on experience with ECAD and PLM systems such as Altium, Cadence OrCAD/Allegro, Arena, Agile PLM, Teamcenter, or similar platforms.
•Experience managing schematic symbols, PCB footprints, component parameters, datasheets, manufacturer part numbers, approved vendors, and lifecycle data.
