Job Summary

Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment to keep a fast-paced food processing plant running smoothly. Triage work orders and emergency calls, interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams, and perform troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and installations. Fabricate replacement parts as needed and support optimal uptime while following LOCKOUT/TAGOUT and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). Use SAP to create work orders and provide hands-on technical fixes across the operation.

Key Responsibilities

•Review work orders and respond to emergency calls; use SAP to create work orders and gather tools, parts, and supplies.
•Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment by disassembling, replacing faulty parts, reassembling, and testing for proper functionality.
•Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant systems, including pumps and packaging/slicing equipment.
•Install and maintain mechanical equipment, piping, and electrical controls in line with manufacturer specifications and local safety regulations.
•Follow LOCKOUT/TAGOUT and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to support a safe, compliant environment.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 25.6 - 32.75 hourly

Key Requirements

•High school diploma/GED and 1+ years of related industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing maintenance experience, or 4 years direct experience.
•Preferred vocational/technical diploma or associate degree in technical maintenance or a vocational school.
•Ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact with all levels of personnel and outside contractors.
•Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift, scissor lift, or other powered industrial trucks (PIT).
•Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions, and to read/execute work orders and translate equipment manuals.
