Key Responsibilities

  • •Own end-to-end process development, equipment bring-up, and qualification for precision assembly technologies at contract manufacturers, spanning supplier selection, NPI, and high-volume production
  • •Engage early with suppliers on equipment selection, tooling design, and process engineering to characterize material and process corners for high-volume manufacturing
  • •Lead development of ultrasonic welding, hot plate welding, vibration welding, and joint validation for metal/thermoplastic components
  • •Develop and qualify precision dispense processes for TIM, adhesives, and sealants with rheology characterization and repeatable bead formation
  • •Establish and optimize AOI systems with lighting and image processing to reduce false calls and enable defect detection
Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, materials science, or other engineering discipline
  • •1+ years of experience in precision joining, dispensing, and automated inspection process development for consumer electronics or complex hardware
  • •Experience with ultrasonic welding, hot plate welding, vibration welding, and automated optical inspection (AOI)
  • •Experience with design of experiments (DOE) and statistical methods (SPC, Cp/Cpk) and PPAP/IQ/OQ/PQ
  • •Ability to travel up to 30% of the time and be onsite in Bastrop, TX
