Key Responsibilities

  • •Apply DFM knowledge to product design for manufacturing, assembly process, and tooling, including working with equipment suppliers to develop solutions.
  • •Develop and deploy assembly and material handling processes from early design through factory implementation to increase manufacturability.
  • •Develop gluing process performance from quality and throughput perspectives.
  • •Plan activities across Oura R&D programs and factories to ensure manufacturing readiness, prototype build execution, and successful factory ramp-ups.
  • •Assess manufacturing/assembly methods for quality and end-customer satisfaction, support contract manufacturer sites, solve issues, and document processes for manufacturing.

Key Requirements

  • •Proven track record working with consumer electronics manufacturing, including hands-on electronics assembly processes, automation, and factory collaboration.
  • •Strong experience contributing to product design for manufacturability (DFM), including tooling and manufacturing equipment design.
  • •Knowledge of manufacturing process parameters and statistical process control (SPC), with experience developing and tuning process control methods to improve yields.
  • •Experience with molding and gluing processes and automated machines.
  • •Ability to create SOPs and work instructions, and work effectively in complex, cross-functional environments in written and spoken English.
