Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate a vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and on time, obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer for loading/unloading and follow loading crew signals; assist with loading/unloading using specialized equipment.
  • •Maintain and deliver required paperwork (invoices, shipping documents) and return all equipment to designated areas.
  • •Perform routine service checks (e.g., oil/water/gasoline/air) and report maintenance malfunctions; arrange trailers for optimum loading patterns.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold either a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or a chauffeur’s license depending on state and vehicle weight.
  • •Pass DOT physical (trucks driven are over 10k lbs), and pass required background and drug testing per federal/state DOT regulations.
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle.
  • •Must be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds, and handle prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
