Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical direction on complex projects and lead or verify hydraulic modelling for flood risk assessments and flood alleviation schemes.
  • •Review or verify technical reports documenting model build and uncertainties.
  • •Lead proposals for innovative one-off projects and large framework contracts.
  • •Mentor staff to support professional development and build client relationships with internal disciplines.
  • •Stay up-to-date with policy and technical developments, share insights with the team, and drive innovation including AI-enabled solutions.

Key Requirements

  • •15+ years of experience in hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller, InfoWorks ICM, and/or TUFLOW.
  • •Chartered member of ICE or CIWEM and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • •Strong GIS skills (QGIS, ArcGIS and/or MapInfo).
  • •Proven leadership and ability to develop and maintain client relationships; experience mentoring staff.
  • •Understanding of Environment Agency requirements for flood models in flood risk assessments and scheme design.
