Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical direction on complex projects and lead or verify hydraulic modelling for flood risk assessments and flood alleviation schemes.
•Review or verify technical reports documenting model build and uncertainties.
•Lead proposals for innovative one-off projects and large framework contracts.
•Mentor staff to support professional development and build client relationships with internal disciplines.
•Stay up-to-date with policy and technical developments, share insights with the team, and drive innovation including AI-enabled solutions.

Key Requirements

•15+ years of experience in hydraulic modelling using Flood Modeller, InfoWorks ICM, and/or TUFLOW.
•Chartered member of ICE or CIWEM and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
•Strong GIS skills (QGIS, ArcGIS and/or MapInfo).
•Proven leadership and ability to develop and maintain client relationships; experience mentoring staff.
•Understanding of Environment Agency requirements for flood models in flood risk assessments and scheme design.
