Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as the AM quality and manufacturing expert for the Digital Design and Additive manufacturing center, defining inspection techniques, standards, and guides.
  • •Perform quality deliverables including MSA, PPAP, first articles, capability studies, and other quality studies.
  • •Write AM quality procedures and work instructions, and lead continuous improvement projects to optimize cost and quality.
  • •Lead creation and maintenance of process FMEAs; lead quality councils and MRB events; drive RCCA events with AM suppliers as required.
  • •Own and maintain AM standard production process for CT scan/X-ray/FPI and other NDT methods; maintain AM AS9100 certification and own NADCAP certification for AM in CHS, and support internal audit efforts.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with 3 years of quality manufacturing engineering experience, or an HS degree with 6 years of quality manufacturing engineering experience.
  • •U.S. person eligibility under ITAR requirements (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
  • •No employment immigration sponsorship or support; candidate will not need sponsorship now or in the future.
  • •No relocation offered; candidates must live within 50 miles of the N Charleston, SC facility.
  • •Experience with aerospace products/applications and quality engineering activities such as internal auditing, SPC, PPAP, MSA, and process capability.
