Job Summary

Operate a yard truck outside the plant to move and park trailers and trucks throughout the shift. Complete and document safety inspections, monitor the radio, and communicate continuously with the supervisor and shipping/receiving team. Back trailers using mirrors, assist unloading as needed, and report issues promptly. This is a Monday–Friday, 2am–10am 1st shift position.

Key Responsibilities

•Complete initial safety checks/inspections of the yard truck and document results on the inspection form.
•Drive the yard truck to move and park trailers and trucks as needed throughout the entire shift.
•Maintain constant radio communication and respond immediately to requests from the supervisor or shipping/receiving team.
•Back trailers using mirrors and help receiving team members unload trailers as needed.
•Communicate timely with the supervisor about any issues during the shift and perform other assigned duties.

Key Requirements

•6 months experience operating an 18 wheeler/shag truck with trailer (experience can be combined across employers to total at least 6 months).
•Ability to back trailers using mirrors.
•Be at least 18 years old.
•Have a valid state-issued driver’s license.
•No DWI/DUI conviction within the past 12 months; be willing to submit the Non-DOT disclosure/release form to obtain MVR.
