Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with the Credit & Loans team on debt recovery matters and support teams to work within company policies and procedures.
  • •Support litigation activity, including pre-action steps, drafting letters before action and legal proceedings, preparing bundles and witness statements, instructing counsel, and attending court.
  • •Maintain and manage the litigation database for accurate tracking of cases.
  • •Execute and enforce judgments, including instructing High Court enforcement, attachment of earnings, county court judgement activity, and insolvency proceedings.
  • •Liaise with external counsel as needed and prepare regular Excel reports covering case volumes, expenditure, recovery/outcomes, and success rates.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience in commercial litigation, debt recovery, or insolvency matters.
  • •Manage a litigation caseload end-to-end, progressing cases from initial instruction through resolution.
  • •Strong Excel and Microsoft 365 skills, with disciplined attention to detail for data, systems, evidence, and process compliance.
  • •Understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules, and knowledge of the Insolvency Act and consumer credit/financial regulations is desirable.
  • •Excellent written, negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills, with strong organisation and prioritisation under pressure.
