Job Summary

AI software engineer role focused on enabling and optimizing AI software for Instinct GPUs in on-prem and cloud environments. You will work to hit roofline performance, collaborate across teams, and combine hardware capabilities with software libraries, frameworks, and SDKs to accelerate AI workloads in datacenter-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities

•Enable and optimize the software ecosystem for AMD Instinct GPUs, integrating DL models, libraries, and applications for on-prem and cloud environments.
•Collaborate with hardware, software, and performance teams to push the limits of AI software efficiency and identify bottlenecks.
•Analyze and optimize performance across CPU and GPU, targeting near-roofline efficiency.
•Contribute to open-source style development, potentially collaborating with community maintainers.
•Provide clear, timely communication to leadership on status and key project aspects.

Key Requirements

•Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
•Strong development experience with at least one major DL framework such as PyTorch or TensorFlow in inference, fine-tuning and/or training.
•MS with years of related experience or PhD with years of related experience in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related equivalent.
•Experience developing software and system-level performance optimizations with a solid architecture understanding in GPUs is a plus.
•Experience with open-source software development including collaboration with community maintainers and submitting contributions is a plus.
