Job Summary

Deliver heavy equipment from a rental facility in Grand Rapids using real-time fleet and work-order access to ensure efficient, safe transport. Operate vehicles in compliance with state and federal transportation laws, load and unload using proper equipment and signals, maintain required delivery paperwork, and assist with routine truck checks and basic service. Work Monday–Friday with possible on-call scheduling and overtime after 40 hours.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate a vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
•Transport loads safely and timely over required routes while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
•Maneuver trucks and trailers into loading/unloading areas; assist with loading/unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment.
•Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and required paperwork; deliver documentation when the delivery route is complete.
•Facilitate routine truck service tasks (e.g., checking oil/water/gas/air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

•Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or a chauffeur’s license appropriate for the vehicle weight in your state.

•Demonstrate strong interpersonal and customer service skills when speaking with customers and staff.
•Be at least 21 years old and able to lift and move up to 40 pounds.
