Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the end-to-end manufacturing process and equipment, including tooling, fixtures, and work instructions for repeatability.
  • •Partner with design engineers to influence design for manufacturability early, optimizing systems for cost, yield, and assembly.
  • •Select and stand up an MES and implement traceability and serialization across the vehicle.
  • •Qualify suppliers and contract manufacturers via on-site visits and process audits to a high bar.
  • •Own key metrics (first-pass yield, cost per unit, throughput, scrap/rework) and hire, mentor, and grow the team as you scale.

Key Requirements

  • •Strong mechanical engineering background with hands-on ownership of manufacturing processes and equipment for complex, multi-system electromechanical products.
  • •Direct experience taking a product from prototype into high-volume production.
  • •Experience with electric propulsion and powertrains, plus enough electrical fluency to work across the mechanical/electrical boundary.
  • •Proven ability to qualify and develop suppliers and contract manufacturers, driving quality and yield improvements.
  • •Comfortable improving how things are built—simplifying assembly, reducing waste and cost, and solving quality problems at the source.
