Key Responsibilities

  • •Define the architecture of the video acquisition chain and derive system requirements for image acquisition components.
  • •Specify readout electronics hardware and FPGA firmware for detector control and video chain interfacing, including interface definitions with onboard data handling.
  • •Provide technical support during procurement of image sensors and related electronics, managing supplier technical follow-up and compliance to specifications.
  • •Lead laboratory integration and bring-up of the video acquisition subsystem; characterize image sensors and performance and define OGSE/EGSE, test plans, and measurement protocols.
  • •Support integration of optical sensors into focal planes and provide technical assistance to manufacturing/AIT teams, while preparing documentation and participating in reviews and risk assessments.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5 years of experience in electronics design, integration, and validation.
  • •Experience with FPGA development, including firmware, timing/sequencing, and high-speed interfaces.
  • •Experience defining characterization test plans and designing test benches.
  • •Strong understanding of low-noise analog and high-speed digital electronics.
  • •Experience building and using test/measurement data pipelines with Python and/or MATLAB.
