Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose, adjust, and repair truck equipment across electrical, brake/cooling, starters/alternators, engine electronics, air conditioning, diesel steering, engines, transmissions, clutches, and differentials.
  • •Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions using test instruments; road test vehicles to verify proper operation.
  • •Manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including reconciliation.
  • •Document repair work using Repair Orders and upload pictures of work, parts used, and findings; complete DOT forms and other documentation while following safety and regulatory policies.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 5 years of experience in a related field (or an equivalent combination such as 3 years plus a degree/certification beyond HS).
  • •Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform job duties.
  • •Candidate must be able to pass a DOT-regulated pre-employment background screening and DOT physical prior to employment.
  • •Maintain a current and valid DOT medical card (or complete a DOT physical if the card has four months or less remaining).
  • •Required certifications (or obtained within 18 months): ASE T8 (PMI) and ASE 608/609.
