Key Responsibilities

  • •Install and qualify new processing equipment.
  • •Solve day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems, including tool down, yield, and quality issues, and prevent repeat issues.
  • •Design and execute planned process experiments; collect, analyze, and report experimental and performance data.

Key Requirements

  • •Associate’s degree in an engineering or similar technical discipline plus 3+ years of First Solar technical experience, or 6+ years of technical work experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • •Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in an engineering or similar technical discipline (no experience required); technical work experience combined with a degree is preferred.
  • •Relevant training/experience can be demonstrated via peer training/mentorship and basic data analysis, including experience as a First Solar Maintenance Technician III, MET III, EPT III, or Equipment Coordinator III.
  • •Journeyman certification in a relevant technical discipline (e.g., Machinist or Electrician) combined with 5+ years industry experience at Journeyman level, or 10+ years as a highly skilled technician/specialist.
  • •Journeyman certification strongly preferred via industry-recognized certifications.
