Key Responsibilities

  • •Support external communications by tracking category trends, drafting/editing earned media content packages, and tailoring messages for different audiences and channels.
  • •Use media intelligence and AI-supported monitoring tools to flag coverage, identify story opportunities, and maintain a living map of journalists and outlets.
  • •Draft and execute targeted pitches, coordinate follow-ups, and track outcomes for earned media.
  • •Partner with cross-functional teams to plan and deliver events/external marketing activations, including timelines, guest lists, invitations, agendas, and logistical deliverables.
  • •Provide on-site and virtual event support and assist with post-event reporting, coverage tracking, attendee communications, and evaluation of outcomes.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 35,000 - 75,000

Key Requirements

  • •At least six months of experience (including internships) in PR, with agency experience as a plus.
  • •Based in New York and able to work within Burson’s hybrid in-office model with at least three days per week in the NYC office (3WTC).
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills across formats.
  • •Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and basic project-management tools, plus hands-on curiosity with AI tools.
