Job Summary

Oversee end-to-end accounts payable processes for invoice processing, payment disbursements, and vendor transaction verification, ensuring accuracy and on-time payments. Lead and support an accounts payable team, implement internal controls, reconcile transactions to the general ledger, and manage month-end close activities including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. Drive process improvements and automation, prepare and analyze AP reports/metrics, handle vendor inquiries and disputes, and assist with audits using core systems and tools.

Key Responsibilities

•Oversee processing of invoices and verification of transactions to ensure accuracy and timely vendor payments.
•Manage the accounts payable team, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance to ensure compliance and efficiency.
•Implement and maintain internal controls and procedures to prevent errors and fraud in accounts payable.
•Reconcile accounts payable transactions with general ledger balances, resolve discrepancies, and support month-end close activities (journal entries, reconciliations, accruals).
•Prepare and analyze AP reports/metrics, drive process improvements and automation, and handle vendor inquiries/disputes and audit support.

Key Requirements

•4–7 years of experience in Finance Operations focused on accounts payable, invoice processing, payment disbursements, month-end close, reconciliations, and vendor management.
•Lead end-to-end invoice and payment processing with accurate matching to purchase orders and receipts, following approval policies for timely payments.
•Strong knowledge of payment methods and processing (EFTs, checks, wires) and vendor record maintenance.
•Prepare and review journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations as part of month-end close, including accruing expenses and investigating discrepancies.
•Bachelor’s-level education such as B.com, M.com, or MBA (finance) from a reputed university/college.
