Key Responsibilities

  • •Run the egg pack machine to pack eggs and use a strapping machine to strap cases of eggs.
  • •Clean and sanitize the Egg Pack Room, egg pack machine, and hatchery equipment (egg flats/trays, farm racks, setter buggies) using high-pressure and regular water hoses.
  • •Monitor and record temperatures in the hatchers and setters.
  • •Perform hand transfers by packing and/or unpacking eggs by hand.
  • •Maintain a clean, organized work area and assist with egg export packing and support egg/ sanitation needs as required while maintaining product flow.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.
  • •If laid off or providing child or elder care, employment gap increases to 18 months; full-time students for the last 36 months are excluded from previous work history requirements.
  • •Must be willing to follow biosecurity/animal welfare requirements, including showering/changing clothing and footwear before entering the facility and signing the required agreements.
  • •No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite (with limited exceptions); must be willing to comply with biosecurity and animal welfare guidelines.
  • •Must be able to perform physical demands, including lifting/moving 50 lbs and pushing/pulling 500-1000 lbs, and work on wet/slippery surfaces.
