Key Responsibilities

  • •Assist the Rolling Stock Team Leader in preventive and corrective maintenance activities and minor modifications across rolling stock and maintenance vehicles.
  • •Carry out routine vehicle inspections, defect checks, consumable replacement, minor repairs, and technical cleaning.
  • •Test functional performance of electromechanical assemblies; replace, install, and align components, and assemble parts using appropriate tools and instruments.
  • •Perform fault diagnostics and component replacement (repair in situ or inside depot) following maintenance procedures and operating rules.
  • •Maintain accurate maintenance records using a computerized maintenance management system and follow Permit To Work; perform shift and emergency duties as required.

Key Requirements

  • •Assist the Rolling Stock Team Leader with preventive and corrective maintenance, minor modifications, and routine inspections on rolling stock and maintenance vehicles.
  • •Perform minor repairs, technical cleaning, and time-sensitive fault diagnostics with component replacement (in situ or inside depot).
  • •Use and calibrate electrical, electronic, and mechanical test equipment, and replace/install electrical and electronic parts using tools and fixtures.
  • •Operate metalworking machines and repair/rework/calibrate hydraulic and pneumatic assemblies, verifying dimensions and clearances to specifications.
  • •Hold a vocational trade certificate or diploma in electrical or mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
