Key Responsibilities

  • •Undertake overhead line design activities including PLS-CADD modelling, line routing, structural analysis and loading trees, design criteria, and sag-tension calculations.
  • •Support feasibility studies and conductor thermal rating assessments, helping identify technically preferred solutions/layouts for clients.
  • •Ensure projects meet safety, health, environmental, sustainability, and quality standards.
  • •Follow AECOM and client design management processes for engineering delivery.
  • •Create engineering deliverables including complex designs, reports, proposals, presentations, and drawing packages.

Key Requirements

  • •A bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent technical discipline in electrical engineering or power engineering.
  • •Experience working on electrical design projects for transmission system operators such as National Grid, SSE, and SPT using their standards.
  • •Project experience in overhead line engineering up to 400kV.
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
