Job Summary

Drive proactive storytelling for AMD’s Global Communications team by identifying agenda-setting stories, pitching them to corporate and top tech media and influencers, and securing high-impact coverage. Build and deepen relationships with journalists and influencers across the AI and semiconductor landscape, monitor coverage trends and narrative risks, and ensure AMD’s differentiated narrative is widely and accurately understood versus competitors. Prepare teams and executives for media engagements and partner across PR moments to deliver a best-in-class media program.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and pitch differentiated stories to corporate and top tech media and influencers to drive awareness, influence, and action.
•Run an always-on motion for “moments in between the moments” to feature AMD outside key moments like product launches, earnings, and company events.
•Build and deepen relationships with journalists and influencers, serving as a trusted resource who educates them on AMD’s technology, strategy, and point of view.
•Collaborate across the comms/PR team to drive best practices and deliver strong outcomes across industry events, product launches, quarterly earnings, and corporate announcements.
•Monitor the media and influencer landscape, anticipate narrative risks/opportunities, and prepare teams and executives for media and influencer engagements.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 144,340 - 247,440 annually

Key Requirements

•Significant experience in media relations strategy, influencer relations, PR, or corporate communications, ideally in technology or semiconductors.
•Proven track record building strong relationships with top-tier media and influencers and securing high-impact coverage.
•Exceptional storytelling, writing, and pitching skills, including translating complex technology into clear narratives.
•Strong news judgment and deep understanding of the media and influencer landscape.
•Experience supporting executives and preparing spokespeople for high-stakes engagements.
