Key Responsibilities

  • •Attend and provide surgical care for ambulatory and hospitalized patients across all degrees of complexity within vascular surgery competence.
  • •Manage surgical unit responsibilities including monitoring and evaluation of patient care quality and appropriateness for privileged physicians.
  • •Perform pre- and post-operative care, including diagnostic ordering (laboratory studies and X-rays) and prescribing applicable therapy.
  • •Provide consultations to physicians and other surgeons/specialists and make recommendations to the HOD regarding medical referrals.
  • •Assume after-hours responsibilities, make daily rounds for hospitalized cases, and participate in quality assurance and continuous quality improvement activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Graduation from an approved medical school plus internship.
  • •Three years residency in Vascular Surgery, culminating in a Postgraduate Master’s degree and/or equivalent HAAD-approved Fellowships.
  • •Must have a HAAD License to practice.
  • •Three or more years of exclusive practice of Vascular Surgery since certification.
  • •Thorough knowledge of medical ethics; English required for documentation (basic medical Arabic desirable).
