Key Responsibilities

  • •Feed and water birds on schedule; inspect water lines and birds daily; dispose of mortality and identify weak or sick birds.
  • •Transfer birds from trailers to growout houses and place them in appropriate pens; calculate pen sizes and adjust partitions for adequate feeder, water, and space.
  • •Weigh birds and record weights for uniformity; inspect birds weekly to monitor quality and progress.
  • •Sort birds by breast size; assist farm crew with killvac; collect weekly corporate lab samples (e.g., swabs, feed, shavings).
  • •Maintain sanitation, vaccinate and isolate birds for disease control, administer medications as needed, and euthanize weak/ill birds per policy.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have at least 12 months of consecutive work history with one employer and no additional job gaps greater than 6 months in the past 36 months.

  • •Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days.
