Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate vehicles according to applicable state and federal transportation laws and transport loads safely and on time while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Assist with loading and unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment when warranted.
  • •Maintain required delivery documentation (invoices and bills of lading) and deliver paperwork to the appropriate staff once routes are complete.
  • •Facilitate routine service on trucks (e.g., checking oil, water, gasoline, and air) and report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial driver’s license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license depending on state for the vehicle weight.
  • •At least 2 years of experience driving and be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
  • •Pass background and drug testing (including a 10-panel drug screen) and pass a DOT physical.
  • •Ability to remain focused in a busy environment and manage prolonged periods sitting in a trailer cab.
  • •Be able to lift and move up to 40 pounds and travel frequently.
