Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide technical expertise to modernize network design and implementation for multiple Air Force and Space Force bases, supporting survey and implementation efforts.
  • •Support planning, execution, testing, and sustainment of wired functionality by providing guidance on equipment and infrastructure maintenance.
  • •Conduct end-to-end testing of fiber optic cables using OTDR, power meters, and other tools; report findings and resolve issues that halt progression.
  • •Develop and maintain technical project artifacts including design/implementation documentation and update network as-built records based on splicing and testing results.

Key Requirements

  • •5+ years of DS Engineering experience, ideally in DOW environments on IT upgrade projects.
  • •BA/BS degree.
  • •Active Secret Level Clearance required.
  • •Familiarity with distribution systems (ISP/OSP) design and implementation documentation (design documentation, as-built diagrams, rack elevations, circuit connectivity matrices).
  • •Proficiency with fiber testing and a thorough understanding of wired and general IT functions.
