Job Summary

Senior/Principal Transport Design engineer leading civil infrastructure projects, delivering designs and models using Autodesk tools (Civil3D, InfraWorks, Navisworks) and design software (OpenRail, OpenRoads, 12D) while coordinating project plans, cost estimates and BIM standards. Minimum 8 years’ experience, Chartered EngNZ or working towards, with a track record in market-winning work and delivering complex transport projects in NZ.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide technical leadership within the Transportation Design team for civil infrastructure projects.
•Produce designs, models and drawings for a wide range of civil infrastructure using Autodesk packages.
•Lead development and improvement of CAD standards, drawing and BIM processes within the Civil Infrastructure service line.
•Undertake civil design tasks and prepare estimates, schedules, specifications and tender documents.
•Provide input into project planning, scope, verification activities and client communications to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
•Minimum of 8 years’ professional experience in a related discipline.
•Chartered Professional membership EngNZ or working towards.
•Proven experience in market-winning work and delivering projects.
•Experience using Autodesk software packages (Civil3D, InfraWorks, Navisworks) and design tools such as OpenRail, OpenRoads, 12D.
