Key Responsibilities

  • •Advise and partner with attorneys, Finance, HR, Procurement, law firms, and external providers to improve cost predictability, savings, and decision-making.
  • •Establish matter-level financial management standards (budgets, accruals, reporting, forecasts, variance thresholds, and escalations).
  • •Own outside counsel guidelines and related governance, driving firm compliance with billing, staffing, and terms.
  • •Manage the external provider lifecycle end-to-end, including RFPs, onboarding/offboarding, engagement terms, panel strategy, and performance intervention.
  • •Lead e-billing and legal spend-management platform ownership, including invoice review workflows, implementations, integrations, and vendor transition; report quarterly on spend and savings while leading/coach direct reports.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • •8+ years of experience in Legal Operations, Legal Finance, Outside Counsel Management, Strategic Sourcing, or related fields.
  • •Demonstrated experience managing complex budgets, forecasts, accruals, and financial reporting within a large organization.
  • •Experience managing outside counsel guidelines, panel programs, firm selection, evaluations, scorecards, and business reviews.
  • •Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience analyzing and presenting complex financial and operational data.
