Job Summary

Senior security engineering lead responsible for running Perforce's Security Operations Center (SOC) in Pune. You will own the SOC workflow, incident response, automation, and playbooks, mentor engineers, and partner with Google SecOps Tenex, CloudOps, IT, and Engineering to build AI-enabled security operations.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the end-to-end SOC alerts workflow and incident response planning across teams.
•Own SOC tools and automation (with Google SecOps as the primary SIEM, SOAR, Google Threat Intelligence, Gemini integrations and Jira as the system of record).
•Coordinate with the managed SOC provider to ensure low false positives, high-quality triage, playbooks, clean escalations, and measurable MTTR improvements.
•Design workflows and playbooks, lead investigations and RCA for high-impact incidents, and mentor SOC Engineers as the team scales to AI-enabled mature operations.
•Own the SOC alert lifecycle: Ingestion → Triage → Routing → Investigation → Determination → Reporting and act as Major Incident Manager for security events.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field.
•8+ years of experience in Security Operations, Incident Response, or SOC roles, including: 2+ years in a lead or senior engineer capacity.
•Deep hands on experience with SIEM / security analytics platforms (Google SecOps / Chronicle strongly preferred or equivalent).
•Strong background in incident response aligned with NIST/ISO, including containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident RCA.
•Solid understanding of cloud security (AWS, GCP, Azure) and endpoint security, plus hands-on security automation (Python/Go/Ruby) and SIEM/SOAR tools.
