Key Responsibilities

  • •Design production jigs and fixtures (assembly jigs, positioning fixtures, and control/inspection tooling) from concept to manufacturing-ready SolidWorks 3D models and drawings.
  • •Create full technical documentation for tooling, including manufacturing drawings, bills of materials, and assembly/use instructions.
  • •Design mechanical elements of automated cells and equipment (frames, supports, motion axes, grippers/end-effectors, guarding, enclosures) in SolidWorks.
  • •Select and size mechanical components for reliability and maintainability, and collaborate with the Auto & Digital pole to integrate mechanics with sensors, actuators, pneumatics, and controls.
  • •Support commissioning and debugging on the shop floor, iterating quickly based on line feedback and proactively proposing improvements (cycle time, ergonomics, reliability).

Key Requirements

  • •Engineering degree in mechanical design, mechatronics, industrial engineering, or equivalent.
  • •Strong 3D design experience with very good command of SolidWorks.
  • •Experience designing jigs, fixtures, or industrial tooling, ideally for series production.
  • •Working knowledge of mechatronics automation (sensors, actuators, and basic pneumatics/electrical integration) to design mechanics that integrate with controls.
  • •Good communication in French and English and a hands-on mindset comfortable on the shop floor.
