Job Summary

Own the full firmware stack for autonomous weather balloons, designing and running experiments to understand system behavior in extreme, real-world conditions. Develop low-level drivers for chips, modules, and sensors, and help harden a custom open-source RTOS hardware abstraction layer. Work with R&D to improve meteorological measurement accuracy, build fault-tolerant behavior, and debug complex issues across hardware and software.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and maintain drivers and low-level libraries for new chips, modules, and sensors.
•Own and improve a custom open-source RTOS hardware abstraction layer (Amslah) as the system scales.
•Optimize sensor and calibration performance for limited power and survival in extreme cold.
•Partner with R&D teams to improve the accuracy of meteorological measurements.
•Design fault-tolerant systems and debug complex issues across hardware and software.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 100,000 - 200,000 annually

•Strong debugging skills and clear communication across complex, multidisciplinary teams.
