Key Responsibilities

  • •On-site monitoring of public projects by outside parties and contractors to ensure conformance with railroad requirements and approved means and methods.
  • •Conduct project preconstruction meetings with client personnel, contractors, and outside parties to set expectations and field protocols.
  • •Work with the client and contractor to resolve construction-related issues and manage field changes in a timely manner.
  • •Perform quality assurance inspections, verify compliance with specifications/drawings and railroad safety standards, and document progress via photographs, videos, and inspection notes.

Key Requirements

  • •BA/BS with 8 years of related experience, or AS with 10 years, or HS/GED with 12 years (or demonstrated equivalency).
  • •Valid US Driver’s License and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records review to visit project sites and clients.
  • •US Citizenship required for the nature of the projects.
  • •Preferred: 10 years of experience in the freight rail industry.
  • •Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong oral/written communication; ability to travel 2–3 days a week within New Jersey.
