Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain poultry to a high standard by ensuring access to fresh water and a proper diet for health and vigour.
  • •Ensure appropriate environments (shelter, resting areas), sufficient space, facilities, and proper handling of birds between pens.
  • •Prevent and respond to pain, injury, or disease through preventative measures or rapid diagnosis and treatment.
  • •Observe and enforce hygiene and bio-security rules (including personal hygiene, boot dips/changing, protective clothing, and house hygiene).
  • •Record key information (bird weight, feed intake, mortality) and adhere to Farm Health and Safety procedures. Additionally, handle accurate weighing of feed and keep the farm clean and tidy.
