Job Summary

Ensure lifting operations are designed, planned, and executed safely in line with company procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. Prepare lift plans and rigging studies, verify equipment suitability, and lead risk assessments and lifting safety management. Support routine and non-routine lifts with technical input, offshore inspections, documentation control, and incident investigation across Northop-based hybrid projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and review lifting plans, lifting procedures, rigging studies, method statements, and risk assessments.
•Calculate load weights, centres of gravity, sling tensions, crane capacities, and lifting arrangements; assess and approve lifting equipment selection.
•Review and approve lifting arrangements and rigging configurations for heavy structures; ensure compliance with relevant legislation, standards, and company requirements.
•Support lifting operations offshore with technical assistance during critical lifts, including site surveys and offshore inspections.
•Verify lifting equipment certification and inspection status, investigate lifting incidents, coordinate corrective actions, and maintain lifting operation records and documentation.

Key Requirements

•Experience in heavy lift engineering and rigging design, including offshore crane and vessel operations.
•Knowledge of offshore lifting standards and regulations such as LOLER, PUWER, EN, ISO, BS 7121, API, DNV, and IMCA lifting guidelines.
•Ability to prepare and review lift plans, lifting procedures, rigging studies, method statements, and risk assessments.
•Experience with offshore installation and removal methodologies, including topside removal campaigns and heavy module lifts (preferred).
•Relevant lifting and rigging certifications in the UK (e.g., LOLER, LEEA, OPITO) and knowledge of offshore oil & gas decommissioning projects (preferred).
