Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage day-to-day site waste processes and ensure the highest standards of environmental safety and operational excellence
  • •Lead the sustainability process, focusing on general environmental efforts, sustainable product procurement, waste elimination, toxicity reduction, and energy and water improvement initiatives
  • •Support and maintain compliance for waste and environmental permits, including Clean Water Act/NPDES and Clean Air Act requirements (e.g., SPCC, Storm Water Pollution Prevention, RCRA)
  • •Investigate exposure complaints involving hazardous materials or air pollutants and prepare/review/update environmental investigation reports
  • •Oversee waste generation, storage, disposal, characterization forms, records for chemical inventories and hazardous waste shipments, and coordinate with external consultants as needed

Key Requirements

  • •BS in a technical discipline (preferably environmental engineering or environmental science) with 4 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma/GED with 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • •Working knowledge of hazardous materials and air/water regulatory compliance with strong focus on waste management, sustainability, and waste minimization
  • •Demonstrated technical expertise in environmental competencies including air and water compliance, waste management, and associated permitting
  • •Ability to read and interpret complex regulations and influence/coordinate with site stakeholders and regulatory agencies
  • •Current Hazardous Waste Operations 40-hour certification (or ability to obtain within the first 60 days)
