Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and evolve the Elastic MCP server and its supporting infrastructure primarily in Go.
  • •Create the platform for universal agent skills, including portable format, authoring/publishing tooling, and linting.
  • •Establish correctness by backing skills and tools with evals rather than assumptions.
  • •Design and deliver integrations that make Elastic available inside third-party AI ecosystems with product and partner teams.

Key Requirements

  • •8+ years of software engineering experience building backend systems, services, or libraries.
  • •Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and a working understanding of LLMs, agents, agent skills, and protocols such as MCP.
  • •Significant recent working experience of Go and (ideally) other languages.
  • •Knowledge of client-server networking, HTTP, and RESTful APIs.
  • •Strong product thinking with a focus on usability and developer experience, plus excellent communication and collaboration.
