Key Responsibilities

  • •Weigh feed and water amounts on schedules; inspect water lines daily and manage mortality disposal.
  • •Drive farm truck to load birds into feed conversion houses and transfer birds into appropriate pens via door.
  • •Calculate pen size and set partitions based on bird numbers; manage floor conditions by turning/adding shavings and regulating temperature/humidity.
  • •Sort birds by breast size and collect weekly samples (cleft pallet swabs, feed, and shavings) for corporate lab.
  • •Perform additional duties such as weekly weighing for quality, maintaining sanitation, vaccinating and isolating for disease control, administering medications, and euthanizing weak/ill/injured birds per policy.
