Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead successful delivery of surveying projects across Northern England, the Midlands, and the wider UK, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction.
  • •Support the survey team with workload planning, project delivery, and business development activities across Scotland.
  • •Undertake and supervise land and engineering surveys in accordance with project briefs, specifications, and industry standards.
  • •Process, review, and quality assure survey deliverables to ensure compliance with WSP procedures and technical standards.
  • •Mentor, coach, and develop junior team members while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated surveying solutions.

Key Requirements

  • •Relevant technical qualification in Surveying or a related discipline (Degree or HND) with significant experience in a similar role, typically 5+ years.
  • •Membership of a recognised professional body (such as RICS or CICES) would be advantageous.
  • •Demonstrate understanding of project management principles, commercial considerations, and health, safety & wellbeing for project delivery.
  • •Proficient operation of surveying equipment including Total Stations, GNSS systems, and terrestrial laser scanners.
  • •Experience with industry-standard software (N4ce, Trimble Business Centre (TBC), Leica Cyclone, AutoCAD) and planning/piloting UAV surveys (General Visual Line of Sight Certificate advantageous).
