Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as technical authority for UAV hydraulic systems, ensuring performance, safety, and regulatory compliance.
  • •Lead hydraulic system design and architecture for flight controls, landing gear, weapon release, and actuation.
  • •Design hydraulic circuits and components, including power packs, actuators, accumulators, reservoirs, filters, and fluid lines.
  • •Develop system requirements, hydraulic schematics, ICDs, and technical specifications; support FMEA, certification, and technical documentation for regulatory approval.
  • •Define and lead functional, leak, endurance, and environmental testing; oversee integration with mechanical structures, avionics, flight control, and actuation systems; drive R&D for improved reliability, reduced weight, and efficiency.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Fluid Power Systems Engineering (required).
  • •Master’s degree or PhD in Hydraulics, Mechatronics, or Aircraft Systems Engineering (preferred).
  • •Minimum 10 years of experience designing and integrating hydraulic systems in aerospace or defense, including at least 4 years at a senior or SME level.
  • •Experience with UAV, rotary-wing, or fixed-wing aircraft platforms using hydraulic systems for flight control or ground systems.
  • •Knowledge of hydraulic system design and analysis, with preferred certifications including INCOSE CSEP.
