Key Responsibilities

•Build Claude Design’s core surfaces (design canvas, real-time editing, inline comments, live adjustment controls) and ship early and often to maximize learning.
•Collaborate with research teams to translate frontier vision and generation capabilities into intuitive design experiences.
•Work with designers, internal testers, and external partners to gather feedback and validate product concepts.
•Set technical direction for frontend problems: editor/canvas architecture, real-time collaboration, design-system inference, import/export, and performance as the product scales.
•Design and run experiments to test product hypotheses, balancing exploration with rigorous measurement.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 320,000 - 485,000 annually

•8+ years of experience building full-stack applications with deep frontend strength, in startup or startup-like environments
•Led or set technical direction for a team or workstream while hands-on in code
•Strong design sensibility with attention to interaction details, motion, and polish
•Strong technical skills across modern web stacks (React, TypeScript, Node.js, Python, Go) including client-side state, performance, APIs, databases, and cloud technologies
•Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities and rapid shipping
