Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

•Field-based - visit construction sites across industries to monitor adherence to environmental legislation.
•Carry out and support site inspections and audits of construction works against planning conditions and documents such as the Construction Environmental Management Plan.
•Provide guidance to contractors and clients on environmental compliance and best-practice methods.
•Act as a key contact, collaborating with ecologists, hydrologists, archaeologists and engineers to deliver integrated environmental services.
•Liaise with clients, regulatory bodies and subcontractors on environmental management practices.

Key Requirements

•An Environmental Science or Environmental Management Degree.
•Comprehensive knowledge of relevant wildlife legislation.
•Experience of monitoring construction activities in line with best practice guidance from small to large sized projects.
•The ability to work under time pressure to resolve emerging environmental issues on site.
•Membership of a professional body.
