Key Responsibilities

  • •Act as project lead for automation and control projects.
  • •Coordinate with engineers, operations management, maintenance personnel, and contractors to meet scope, budget, and schedule requirements.
  • •Create documentation packages for bidding, installation, startup, and maintenance (e.g., scope of work, conduit layouts, cable schedules, drawings, BOMs, and preventative maintenance procedures).
  • •Provide commissioning and startup support and develop/maintain a project funnel for automation and control system upgrades.
  • •Optimize control system performance with plant process engineers, direct maintenance on controls work orders, train maintenance teams, and troubleshoot during system upsets.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor of Science degree in electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering (electrical preferred).
  • •Experience with PLC programming (ladder logic, function diagrams, and structured text), with Rockwell/Allen Bradley and Siemens experience a plus.
  • •Experience with AC and DC drives; Yaskawa, Siemens, and Rockwell experience is a plus.
  • •Experience with control system network interfaces, communications protocols, and HMI configuration/programming.
  • •Experience with distributed control systems (DCS), continuous process controls, field instrumentation and valves, plus control system preventative maintenance and software backups.
